About Bainbridge Memory

The Power Squad
This site was created as a collaboration in spring 2005 between the Bainbridge Historical Society and six seniors of Kenston High School. The students created the website during a three week long mentorship program.

Each year, Kenston High School's mentorship program encourages graduating seniors to spend three weeks gaining real-world experience "outside the classroom" in a commercial, non-profit, or community service project.

Upon hearing that the Bainbridge Historical Society wanted to produce a site that would inform and educate the people of Bainbridge of their history, seniors Jim England, Frank Bartos, Bryan Wildasinn, Evan Frasz, Daelan Scroggins, and Josh Shinagle formed a "power squad" under the leadership of Kenston alumni Don Pavlish and faculty advisors Ronnie Continenza and Troy Sartain. Kenston alumni Jason Maxwell provided additional programming help.

The seniors set out to build a completely new site for the society, one that would be engaging, informative, and easy to update. They hope the site will continue to grow as the community becomes more involved in their heritage.

The team spent many hard hours of labor collecting historical documents and working on the site, and they hope that you find it as enjoyable and enlightening to visit as it was for them create.
